Exact same thing here. I did get it to look a little better but the font still looks like 1080. I do hate that it has to be in window mode. Any discussion on an actual fix for this it?
Only solution I've found works is to decrease the scale setting on my laptop. Mine is set at 250% (recommended). Dropped it down to 150% and it looks good. But its a pain and means I can't switch between apps/programmes without fiddling with the scale. Needs a fix.
I've done a deep dive about this 2-3 years ago because I'm not a fan of the blurry font, either. Forum posts I found on the OOTP website (I am way too lazy to look them up and cite them so you'll have to decide for yourself if you believe me or not) was that in order to update the visuals to work on large, high-def monitors they would have to remake (update? idk) the game engine for some reason and Markus, the original developer, said that he had no intentions of doing that anytime soon. I'd love to be corrected on all of this, though. I know nothing about making games so who am I to argue? It sure would have been nice to get a nice engine/UI update to go along with this year's price increase. But hey, we got user-directed player development! That's never been done before in a sports game before, right?

Oh...
Jokes aside, yes the player development lab seems like a good addition to the game. I messed around with this year's version, but I haven't started a real playthrough yet so I can't say for certain.
