just did a double play with the runner scoring before the double play was completed and
just did a double play with the runner scoring before the double play was completed and it was counted as 2 outs, no runs scored instead of 2 outs, 1 run scored, is this a glitch or an error in the rules?

If the double play ended the inning, the run should not count, as per the rules.

no in the rules of baseball, any runs scored before the 2nd out of the double play are counted.

ARG is correct if the double play was two force outs (the usual ground ball to the infield).

If the double play was, for example, a fly out with runners on second and third who both tag up and the runner from third scored before the runner on second got thrown out at third, the run counts.

Oh, yeah, in the examples above the 2nd out of both double plays has to end the inning.

double play to end the inning run does not count. other situations could dictate what would be known as a timing play. as an umpire we signal to each other by tapping two fingers to our wrist to let each other know heads up on this. if in this situation runner touches home before final out it counts.
