Should I Buy
I've been playing OOTB for a long time. My last purchase was '21 which I didn't care for the AI so I've been playing '19. In the past I would buy older versions on sale which I guess they no longer do. I have no interest in the "Perfect Team", I play Teams (poor teams) as GM for long periods so the new players only last so long. Any reason I should buy this at this high price? ty

I actually sorta have same question. I played up to 23 and think 19 to 23 would have been worth it. With that said I know this game in it's current state has bugs and read some people say wait until the spring break sale/patch.

My question is-Is the game stable enough for long term save. I have heard there is issues with the drafting (something changed) and a lot of people hated it. I honestly forgot what all it was and it was about monthish ago I read about it.

This is all second hand info I just read on the forums.

So yeah wondering also myself. I "Will" buy it just don't know if I should now or wait

Edit: I just went to OOTP 25 forums read what people were saying now. It's a forum of fan boys but fan boys who take the game VERY serious and can be quite negative.

Edit to the edit: Honestly I am still on the fence. I read the forums about last patch and seems a lot of the buggy issues with development is still there. That's my main fun with the game. I don't play huge budget teams

Any input would be great.

With the game patched to it's current level there is like two(?) guys, but really only one I can think of, posting their issues with development based on how they think things should work. Which is pretty much how you find most complaint threads on the OOTP site, IE 1-3 users hyping on their issue and projecting their issue to the "game is obviously broke",
That's not to say issues are never found, but when they are those threads tend to fill up with confirmations of MANY users saying they are seeing issue "x" too. Those issues are usually quickly fixed.

Anywhere I shop online, be it for a computer game , winter boots, or anything else there is going to be a review telling people "don't buy this" or "this product sucks and the maker doesn't care" etc. etc. etc. Reading reviews is what it is. Whether on OOTP's boards, here on Steam, or any other game forums (for all games not just OOTP) one has to be able to identify the trolls that have an issue with the game because they were slighted, mistreated, games not going in the direction they want it to, etc. etc. and are going to make that franchise "pay a heave price" lol, and read past those posts.

The truth is OOTP is a game and what one user is happy with another is not. A user one year wasn't happy because average MLB age was 26 yrs 10 months while OOTP's avg age was 27 after a hundred year sim. I may not have the exact ages right, it was a long time ago, but hopefully you get the point? IOW what is acceptable to you?

Every year no matter what the developer does someone that "knows gaming" forecasts the end of the game "because"... (insert reason here). Then "next year" comes and the game sells. Niche games that are trash, especially if they rely on yearly releases, will die if they aren't good enough to satisfy the vast majority of it's users. OOTP comes back every year.

I think OOTP25 is on sale today for 30% off. It may be on sale at some time for 50% off? I don't know? In the end I'd tell you it's worth the price, especially when on sale. The next guy that comes along may or may not agree.

I had 18, 22, and now 25. I think it's worth the upgrade for the new years of historical data (I just play 1 year replays so it's great to have more years of lineups to choose from) and the new, better 3d engines. And being able to easily see spray charts!
