Console commands?

Hi,

So, yeah, i have to admit i have a weak system, but the game runs fine on lowest settings. The only time it starts to stutter is when the horde approaches on barlow square (on extreme), but even then, it's still playable and i'm able to survive. But i'm afraid i won't be able to enjoy the new flatline gamemode with his massive zombie hordes, so i was looking for some useful console commands for tweaking the performance.

But sadly, some commands that could be useful to get a better performance are flagged as cheats. Why is that?

For example. cl_ragdoll_limit, it controls the Maximum number of ragdolls to show. I could imagine that this is a very useful command to get a better performance.

Are there any commands that could be used for performance tweaking?

If you want to use cheat flagged Cvars without needing sv_cheats 1, then do the following.

Right-click Contagion in your Steam Games Library.
Click Properties -> Set Launch Options.

Then enter each Cvar with a + symbol first, like so:

+sv_infinite_collected_ammo 1

As long as you're hosting, it'll work.

Thanks, i didn't know that. But the problem is, when i would join other peoples games i wouldn't be able to use these commands. I really would like to know if there are any commands that could be used for tweaking, without me being host. Or if the developers could remove the cheat flag for some of them in the future.

I just can't see the reason how disabling of ragdolls could be used for cheating. The same goes for some other commands.

Hi Filthy Casual! I agree. I can only play this game on the lowest settings too. It would be neat to have such an option without being marked as cheat ingame. Well, using a lower screen resolution helps a lot too!

From looking at the Cvar list, cl_ragdoll_limit isn't cheat flagged. It should have worked, odd.

Yes i know. The cvarlist seems not to be up to date. I've tried "cl_ragdoll_limit", and the console says, sv_cheats has to be set to 1 to use it.
