But it still has a small playerbase.
I keep hearing people say this but from video it looks far worse imo.
The animations look even more stiff.
The pathing looks even more bugged
The graphics are not anywhere near contagion
The sounds are ok but again not as good.
The game play looks slow.
And all the zombies are incapable of even a brisk walk?
And while there is knockback a strike to the skull doesn't kill in one hit? What? Why?

Everytime I look it up it looks soooo boring to me. Where is the rush fighting zombies that you can just walk around night of the living dead style?
It does have a ton of players though. http://steamcharts.com/app/224260
last years patch looks great: https://forums.nomoreroominhell.com/index.php?/topic/12183-patch-1094-changelog/
This years only(?) patch looks meh: http://steamcommunity.com/app/224260/allnews/
The game itself is actually not bad and it's free. I love the inventory system and how the survivors can pick up a flashlight as weapon or use it together with a handgun. This is also the only game that offers a suicide option with very dramatic animations. Weapons and ammo you find won't always have the max clip size which is very realistic imo. I'm looking forward to mod NMRiH 2 since I will switch to UE4 when I'm done with my project here.
"Hey toss me the mag rounds you grabbed earlier"
"whoa, sprinter coming, door to the left"
"room clear, found a med kit"
"I'll turn the crank, keep them off me"
♥♥♥♥ like that. The gameplay is slow, but when there are ~80 zombies on the level and you might only find a few boxes of ammo you have to be smart. Its survival horror not an action game. sprint through alleyways and hug the walls to avoid getting grabbed. creep around corners and clear the infected out so you can redistribute items as needed.
NMRiH is my favorite zombie game behind Zombie Panic: Source.
