Biotech key code location?

Hi,

I got up to the point where I needed to find a post-it note that is stuck to a monitor - I checked every single lab after the de-contamination room, but just couldn't find it. I found a few post-its that had a few instructions on them, but they were not legible.

I don't want to know exactly where it is (as that takes away the fun) but does the post-it stand out (have a glow around them?) and would they spawn before the de-contamination room? (am I expected to back travel quite far?)

The monitor got a little glow just like all buttons do. That monitor only located in labs so keep on searching.

Weird, I searched that area top and bottom about 3 times. I'll try again when I get home from work and see if I can locate it.

When you look at a monitor it will have a glowing, white outline. It can be in one of the labs, even if it has gas inside the lab.

I find you also have to press e on the monitor rather than remembering the code yourself.

That would be great if I could even find it :p I recorded by playthrough, I may rewatch that part to see if I blatantly missed it.

The passcode is in one of the mini-labs, random locations each playthrough. The passcode itself is a monitor that is turned on with a whitescreen window open. Pressing E on it should activate the objective.

Well as Laggeth said the passcode is in one of the lab rooms with the only monitor that is still lit working (randomised each time) press e on it then head to the door.

The post-it is just a hint to look for a monitor. You'll find a monitor with an Email open on the screen.

Not gonna lie the first time I played through Biotec I was looking for a sticky note on a monitor. Took me an extra 10 minutes because I didn't realize I simply had to walk up to a monitor to see it glow.

That's where I was going wrong - I was running around lab room to lab room quickly glancing at all monitors trying to find a sticky-note stuck to one. Well, I will need to give it another go tonight, as it was a brilliant map!

That one is on me. The idea being you'd most likely find a post-it rather than a running monitor with password freely available so we wanted you to focus on monitors and couldn't have hint say "Check each PC to see if Password is up on a running screen" will reword asap, sorry for inconvenience.

That's not a problem, it gave me a chance to explore the map head to toe.

Well... it was in a room with gas, and i could not find a gasmask, anywhere. I searched every room head to toe, atleast 5 times. Well humanity.... it was fun while it lasted, but i'm afraid we are doomed.

Gas masks are on the wall to the right of the doors you go into to get decontaminated. At least in the few times I've played it, not sure if they spawn randomly or not.
