Never stop moving. Don't stay in a room until it's completely haunted. Just keep on the move.
Regularly check your spirit vision to make sure you're not going to run into people around a corner.
When you do run into busters, your first priority should be to see where the nearest corner is. Breaking line of sight is key.
And that's honestly kind of it. Map knowledge helps a lot. Knowing where the ghost shortcuts are is very handy.
Just be constantly aware of your surroundings, haunt everything and keep moving. If you get tagged, escape (if you can) and break for the nearest corner.
Conserve your energy. Sprint when you absolutely have to, but no more. If you run low, stop and possess something until you're full again.
Personally, I like trap minions because they throw off ghost readings on the PKE and anything you can do to confuse PKE readings is exactly what you should be doing.
An ideal game is one where I don't see a buster the entire time.
