The one consistent part I've found about them is how they tag and then promptly ignore rifts, which makes it frustrating when they rarely help you close them.
I’ve had them doing a bunch of awesome stuff but than in other matches be useless. Mostly I just shrug and figure RL players would be about the same sometimes.
Ideally a few commands like “assist me” and “stay with me” while using the directional arrows to specify which buster comes would be nice.
They still do. Been playing since Halloween and every time ALL buster bots drop what they're doing to run to a downed buster... it makes playing as a Ghost super easy if you manage to down one the others just swarm to them ignoring you. The only way I have gotten trapped by them is going into the trap manually, they don't drag me towards them, and I've had to do that multiple times just for a contract. The AI for ghosts can be scaled and can be good at times and when I am a buster, the other busters are somewhat useful (they do occassionally get solo captures against AI ghosts but it's not due to the tether but managing to pop a trap under one).
As a player ghost, staying high enough not to get sucked into a trap without being dragged down seems to confuse them.
Regarding bots, yes, they're extremely stupid. I just had a game where two of them just kept shooting at one spot in the ceiling for some reason, and they did this for most of the match. Extremely annoying.
They do that when shooting at a haunted or possessed object or artifact with a rift to which they don’t technically have line of sight. If you go around the obstacle in the direction they are shooting you can destroy whatever is there to free them from their loop… it’s usually an object the ghost possessed then exited.
I also played 2 games as Busters and from what i saw, the bots did capture ghosts and destroy rifts. Since i am new to the game i was prone to turn them off, because i wanted to explore the game more.
Could use some work.
