How to beat the third dark altar?

There is a ox kind creature, i forgot its name. It uses a hammer and always has flame on it. Once I did some damage, it just regenerate health pretty fast and I can't kill it.

just set up life bombs before he appears. He won't even have the time to regenerate.

I believe that guy counts as undead, so any attacks using the death element actually heals him. Use life mines, like Emhesys suggested, they absolutely wreck him.

Karog from hell or whatever his name is. You should constantly have maximum fire protection to deal with him. I used life beam and was evading his hits while firing. A risky tactic I should say but rewards you with a useless fire axe in the end.

The fire axe is a good way to get rid of those annoying Zeldas though. I didn't find it useless.

Well, I don't have problems dealing with them and I'm not using close range weapon as it is anyway. So it may not be that useless

Every weapon in this game is useless because Elements are a trillion times better in doing damage.
