Magicka 2 Co-op
Hello! I was wondering if someone could lead me to a step-by-step guide as to how to setup a co-op game for this title? I have tried searching online and cannot for the life of me find anything about this. I don't feel like spending money on a game in which my girlfriend and I cannot play together, and this game looks likes it is loads of fun. Thanks before-hand!

Also, in the FAQ list there a question regarding co-op play across different platforms, with the response being that Magicka 2 can only be played locally on the same system. In this regard are "system" and "platform" the same? Or does it mean that two people play on the exact same computer/laptop (the "system") rather than on two different computers/laptops? (I'm more looking to playing locally with my girlfriend (as LAN isn't supported from what I've read) as opposed to online)

In the main menu of the game, you can invite up to 3 other players from your friendslist to the party, then start a game. Or, if you have multiple control devices (keyboard and mouse/ gamepad(s)), you can add local players by pressing a button on the device(space on the keyboard, "A" on xbox controller).
If you are online while playing, make sure to select "Private game" if you dont want random people dropping into your game.

It's pretty easy. No map/level/quest limitations.

You start a game from the main menu and choose if it should be listed on the public servers list (It's a checkbox labeled "Private Session"). If so, anyone will be able to join you.

From the menu you can also invite specific friends to join your game.

They can also join while the game is running.

I don't know if it uses lan if detects the players on the same network, but in the game there's no place to input an IP to connect directly. All the matchmaking depends on Paradox server.
