Is it true that Magicka 2 is much more easier than Magicka 1?
Because many reviews say so.

I'd say it's the other way around.

Both have a somewhat difficult learning curve for beginners, until you stumble across the right combos (or read a guide on optimal spells). From then on the game becomes a lot easier, since almost everything can get one shot with the right spells in both games. Most of your deaths will be self-inflicted (walking into your own mines is a common mistake) or caused by something that interrupts your spells and Magicks, like goblin bombers or Vanir weapon imbues or lightning.

As for bosses, I'd say that M2 bosses are a lot more difficult than M1, for reasons ranging from how hard it is to ward their attacks to how vulnerable a boss is to their attack patterns. It took me like 5 deaths to take down the final boss of M2, while I just sorta QFQFASA'd M1 bosses to oblivion with the all-powerful !SAFE and !ARSE wards and a healthy serving of teleport abuse.

I definitely felt that M2 was much easier than M1

Magicka 2 has less levels considering the original game's expansions, so it's shorter. Also spellcasting and moving around seems easier due to mechanic changes and improved engine performance. I think overall a lot of things contribute to make Magicka2 easier than Magicka.

Magicka 2 is easier cause the spell system is unbalanced (simple spells have very high damage) so even if you don't master the casting system you can easily finish the game, while in magicka you had to use more advanced spells in the late game to beat it.
And another funny fact is that in magicka 2 a spell with 5 different elemet is way less efficent than a simple SSSSS or DSSSS (there are some enemy that are resistant or immune to some element, but for about 75% of the game it works).
Another thing is the infinite life even in single player cause you can resurrect your fairy everytime you die (in magicka you had only 1 fairy for every checkpoint).
So, all things considered, it's much easier than the first but it has a steeper learning curve (in the first game the hard part started at level 6-8 of 12, while in magicka 2 it' from level 3 of 9).

Please explain why.

1) In M1 there are stronger magicks without any cooldowns.
2) Monsters don't avoid your spells like in M2, but rather charge straight into them and die; prime example EFDFF.
3) In M2 there is lots of unblockable damage because many monsters inflict elemental damage and on top of that because wards are incredibly weak. In M1 EDF/Q/R armours and the occasional E shield make you pretty much invincible.

1)Yeah but in m2 the normal SSSSS beam melts almost everything down so you don't even need powerfull magicks, cause the enemy die before you even need them;
2)wait a sec in m2 the monsters avoid spells? i never saw that exept the electric thing in level 8-9, and those didn't avoid spells they simply moved randomly (and sometimes into my spells);
3)Yes, the only thing i find harder in m2 is the defense spells cause i find them useless exept the absortion ward that is incredibly overpowered, so is a completely different system but with both of them i can pretty much become immortal.

I cannot see your point, but maybe you're talking only about the main story mode cause that's the easier part of m1, but when i think of d&d and d&g and their hard mode, i've never found anything in m2 even near the same difficulty.

Well, everyone plays the games differently. And my view is probably biased because too many hours in M1.

Not all monsters avoid spells, but many avoid walls like ED or EFDFF.

I agree with w!z. There are no cooldowns to ridiculous spell combinations like DSQ SDR, which can travel a long way and almost instantly freezes great numbers of about 80% of every type of enemies, leaving them helpless. Spamming these Spells for example makes spell casting a no-brainer in Magicka 1, if you just wanted to rush through the game. In magicka 2 most enemies have natural resistence to many damage sources. Furthermore you cannot really spam earthbased attacks because they will fall on the ground right in front of you if you try, which is dangerous enough, plus any kind of armour is worn down pretty quickly, while one elemental protection ring won't save you from catching fire or other status effects.

In magicka 1 I felt invincible to NPC's and in magicka 2 I really have to plan every move and spell very quickly. Mistakes are punished hard (Banana difficulty)... But maybe it's only because it's 159 h vs. 15 h playingtime ;-).
