altars?

im new in this game and as i run around i some times see these places like altars that glowing in green on red or orange etc(elements colors)are they some thing?can i activate them?how?

You said they glow in element colours, so... try casting those elements?

those altars bugg out for me sometimes and you have to be really close to the book to be able to activate it, it summons some enemies which gets harder depending on what level you're on. and i can help ya on it ;)

A bit late, but will still respond.

Those altars are challenges that you can activate by casting the elements they display. When you cast the elements, a bunch of enemies (or a boss in one of them) will spawn and you have to defeat them. Once you do, a weapon or a staff will appear at the altar that you can pick up and use in later adventures.
