That's a real shame. The first game is fantastic. Hopefully one of these years I'll be able to pick this one up.
You misunderstand. F2P means, usually, very expensive as payment is taken through the constant need to make micro-purchases or be made to grind for days just to make the game playable. F2P is not free, or cheap, or fun. It does not help those short of cash to buy a game on the never never, and it also ruins it for everyone else. There are many games at many price points, some for just pennies, something for every pocket. Many people hate F2P for very good reasons, it's not to spite you.
If you can afford to buy a PC but not a game, something's not right with your maths there. Have you tried saving up? Seriously, it's better than paying for things piecemeal.
I bought this PC 8ish years ago. I most certainly can't afford a PC, although I would love to. Also, I understand a lot of games that went F2P ruined the game, but some are fantastic. TF2 for example, I know a lot of people who bought the game got angry that it went F2P, but IMO the game got much better. Microtransactions do not have to make the game suck. What makes a F2P game suck is the microtransactions have P2W mechanics. Giving people power for money is a disgusting business model.
Edit: I honestly think this game would benefit from a F2P model. The micro transactions would of course be new outfits and cosmetics which one can never have too much of. Another good example of a F2P game is Path of Exile. Absolutely fantastic game, completely free of charge with lots of awesome cosmetics and other things to purchase to help out the devs of the game. Either way you look at it, have a good day.
