No.
>The game is not even multiplayer online
The leaderboards for the best players doesn't concur with you.
>So what does it take away from you?
Nothing, I'm not even in the top ten, but it's unfair.
>I'm programmer myself so I like to understand how things work
... You aren't going to learn too much from CheatEngine.
>Just like a mechanic likes to take apart cars
Mechanics are actually autorized to do so, you don't.
Anyways, I dont want to keep with this ♥♥♥♥. Go ahead, do your stupid cheats and get VAC'ned.
burn in a fire you cheating scum
Christ. You guys dont really know what VAC is, or what it means to be banned. do you?
VAC is an anti cheat software, designed to prevent third party software from messing with a game, essentially, this is to prevent people from freely cheating in multiplayer games, such as half-life 2 DM, team fortress 2 and counter strike source. Other games have used this as protection. But something to mention is this only applys to ONLINE in games. Getting vac banned means that you are no longer able to play online in vac protected servers. Going to a game like counter-strike:source, you will be able to see that it has a panel on the right, below the main area with videos and pictures. This lists what the game might have differently. http://prntscr.com/70fkt6
To reinforce this, getting vac banned means you can no longer play in vac secured servers in online games. This however, does not mean you are banned from your library of games or servers that are not vac secured.
Additionally, I feel an overwhelming amount of hate is going towards this person for something rather insignificant. This is effectively like saying anyone who uses cheat codes in games that still have them, or use a mod that could potentially make gameplay easier or in a free-play like state, is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Pretty sure he can do what he wants with a game, if he cheats, then that just means he is losing out on the intended gaming experience, but that is his choice.
I also hate playing online multiplayer games against cheaters. It breaks the fun of playing with other people. But I'm not aiming at playing unfairly against other players or even boosting my own scores.
I just like this game very much, paid for it and played it for over 40h in just the 2-3 last weeks. Now I'm tinkering with it just like I did with Diablo 1 back in the days.
If I really wanted to pimp my score to 999,999, believe me, it'd only take me a few minutes.
