The "Credit Dot" in Twilight Zone
It's probably un-noticeable to most people, but I've noticed that the "Credit Dot" appears in-game.... screenshot...

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=192685208

This is described on PinWiki as:-

"The credit dot is a decimal point (a single, lit pixel on the display), that appears after the number of credits or after the words free play on the DMD display on WPC games. It is a quick indicator used to tell the operator or owner that there may be an issue with the game. Most commonly, there is a switch or multiple switch problems with the game. However, a credit dot will appear for other reasons, such as when the date and time are not set."

The article does go on to mention "If, after 30 balls or 10 games, a particular switch hasn't registered, the credit dot is posted to alert you to check the diagnostics." I've only just bought the same, I'd be lucky if I've played 3 games, never mind 10, so that's not the issue.

Seeing as the virtual tables are apparently using actual ROM sets for the games, that would suggest to me an issue somewhere with the table coding / scripting. Of course, on the standard table mode, you can't access the diagnostic menu to find out what the problem is!

Has this been addressed? I just bought the pinball arcade season 1, and mostly it's pretty good. But I notice that Twilight Zone is a little buggy.

I will get a credit dot after playing one game, every time. And I have no idea what it's for. But there was a bug I noticed while playing that the gumball light was flashing, leading me to think that I could load the gumball machine. But when I made the shot it was stopped next to the piano. Then I hit the right ramp and the "ball" light lit up (of the gumball lights) on the door in the middle of the playfield.

So the gumball light on the right hand side of the playfield was lit without the ramps having been hit. Something's not right.

My beef with TZ is that 95 times out of a 100 the ball drains left from Town Square bumpers, without anything you can do about it. A ball in Town Square is basically a lost ball. :DLskull:

That can't have been the idea...

Yeah, those bumpers are pretty damn dangerous, and they're no less dangerous on a real one. Gotta nudge the ball to safety.

Time and Date not being set will create a credit dot.

It stinks, but that accurately represents the real thing!
Isn't Pinball Arcade setting the time for you? It automagically sets the table to your pc clock.

Happened to me on a real TZ. And that's why you don't put the ball in the Death Square.

Yes, it happens on the real table, too. As much as I love TZ, I think Lawlor placed the bumpers a bit too low on this one. But I think 5 out of 100 times is more realistic.
