Got a generic game pad which is recognised in windows but don`t seem to access it under pinball arcade / steam ? Came with no driver disc so not sure how to get it recognised under menu options for PA.
It works good, feels durable, and it was only 25$
It lights up real bright but you can turn that off. Or you can have it blink every time it rumbles which kinda simulates the flashing of a pinball machine. Don't buy it just for that lol but its fun to turn on that feature sometimes.
Might try to update the driver to x360ce 3.0
Thanks
Gonna order an Afterglow AX.1
Let you know how I get on
Cheers Pinball Buzz
Still, make sure that it is durable and (maybe most important) ergonomic, so my best advice would be to visit your local store and let your hands decide.
Judging from the comments, Pinball Arcade supports more models than the Xbox 360 type, so you should be free to choose.

I have a PDP Rock Candy pad (pretty much an After Glow without lights) and I don't like the feel of the thin, sloped triggers for flippers. The bumpers are a little better as flippers, but somewhat small, resulting in a little bit of an uncomfortable finger rest and not a very satisfying feel.
I had an Afterglow, but the rubber tips of the sticks came off. First one I had to repair when I got it, the other came off while playing a Flatout game.
Since I grew up with the PSX I prefer the feel and layout of the F310, and therefor the triggers feel better for me when playing the game.
