Addams Family, not really enjoying this
Just got the Addams Family, I played the real table a long time ago but not too extensively but finding that I am really not getting on with the table at all. I have quite a few hours on TPA but so far just missing what all the hype is about regarding this table. I find that balls drain far too easily, I am literally losing on the plunge and not certain about this but the tilt sensitivity seems to be set far too high for a table that drains so quickly.

Is this conversion of the table missing something or is it far from exact compared to the real thing? Also does this table need patching or is it actually meant to play like this? I wouldn't normally come on here and moan like this but after all the talk regarding this I think I was hoping for a little more and my recollection of playing the real thing is somewhat different even if that was from a long time ago.

Don't mean to ♥♥♥♥♥ too much about this as I love all my tables just feel that something is off with this one.

It's about par[a.pomf.se]... for farsight against their other tables that do similar things because 'of the physics engine'. If you want a finer nuding experience you'll want a controller with a stick, dual shock, xbox, nunchuck, etc in conjunction with x360ce to emulate an 360 controllers xinput required for this game.

I have to agree with this, I remember spending many a quarter on this table IRL and I have to say I do not remember it being this cheap with how often those balls drain on the sides. This was one table I have been waiting for since I first saw this game and snagged it. Now that it's here, I'm disappointed.

You yoyos, I toured the mansion after my 6th try. There is nothing wrong with this table.

Yeah, I managed to Tour the Mansion already, too. Aside from that hellish right drain (it's probably like this in real life, I bet), this table conversion is just about perfect.

It seems to be pretty close to how I remember playing it MANY times in the past. The right out lane does seem to be a little hungrier than I remember. My only complaint is that the "power" is much stronger than I remember. I remember it effecting stray balls but on this table it will actually stop shots dead.

But its as fun as I remember and I am happy to have bought it. I think I have played enough games to have spent about $50-75 on a real table.

I was one two chair shots away from touring the mansion a second time at a little over 600M. If I could hit the chair more consistently with the right flipper, I would be nearly unstoppable!!!

Don't use the right flipper for the chair shots. Use the left.

The right outlane drain is like a thousand times harsher on a real table than it is in TPA.

Although this is not my fav table in really arcade, I definately enjoy playing it. I played the live table not too long ago. Seems fairly close, but I can't comment on the Power becuase it was broken on the table I played on. FS said that mist multi ball on Dracula was the most difficult part of the table to emulate, so I would imagine emulating the power was very difficult as well.

Well thanks for the replies. I gave the table another go, played it for a bit longer and honestly, I actually think I hate it! I mean that right outlane is just crazy, I lost three balls off the plunge with skill shots in less than 20 seconds, let alone the jets cruely feeding that lane with very little you can do about.

Well I will keep going, I wasn't so fond of Attack From Mars when I first played it and now it is one of my favourite tables. I guess this one feels a little cheap and that is coming from someone who plays a lot of Black Knight 2000 and loves it. Might switch from controller to keyboard for this though, as nudging has zero effect and keyboard nudging has never worked that well for me.

That is certainly the preferred flipper. But the center ramp lights the chair and them puts the bal on the right flipper. I would love to perfect the chair shot, then catch the ball on the left flipper, hit the center ramp then the chair again. Then repeat as needed.

I personally think that this table is one of the harder tables in TPA. The ball flies to the right drain very often (causing a lot of frustration), and some of the more precise shot are kinda difficult as well. However, I keep coming back for more. The last game I played, I scored over 150,000,000 and completed the stardard goals. Now I'm in the wizard mode. Yay!!
BTW, here's a quick tip for scoring a lot of quick points fast. The Mamushka mode is one of the quickest ways to score a lot of points easily. Just keep the ball on the table and hit the bumpers repeatly. You can score over 20 millions + points easily... Anyway, I'm both enjoying and getting frustated at the same time with this table. I've waited a long time for this table to be released for TPA and I'm not disappointed. Now, let's see if Stern Simpson's Pinball Party comes out in the near future.....
Yeah... Way too much hype for this one table. It's just another pinball table. And yeah I'm draining balls pretty quickly as well.

Yes I agree. The ball drains on sides are over zealous. I played the real machine back in the day for hours and hours, and I must agree, this doesn't "feel right".

So I loaded up Future Pinball with Zed Physics, and that's how I remember the machine playing. This version on Pinball Arcade isn't right.

my only problems are, besides my nudging crutch, when the ball low-hits Tish or comes off the orange pop bumper from the west/south west both go into that right drain. I dislike how 'the power' just takes your ball and throws it into the right outlane too with one of its magnet patterns.

can anyone confirm The Power is that much of a jerk? happens to me when the ball is lower right of The Power jewel.

not to brag but my very first game I tour'd the table and got all standard goals. Variable strength nudging is the golden ticket

Yeah that right drain off the top flipper from launch is OP. If I miss the skillshot, I just hold the flipper out to avoid the whole thing.
