leaderboard cheaters?
Hey everyone,
I actually play this on PS4 but this seems like the best place to chat with other PA enthusiast. I religiously play the Star Trek TNG pinball machine everyday. My highest score so far is 4.5 billion. But I am getting a bit frustrated because just like every other arcade game I have ever played that are absolutely ridiculous high scores that are just unexplainable...

recently, someone named "www.vpforums.org" on a MOBILE device got a score of 1,890,199,057,550. That's one trillion points, almost two. HOW???? And considering they have a website in their name makes it look spotty like they cheated the system to promote their website. Another guy at the #5 spot says he is 393 billlion on a mobile device.

Are these people simply that godlike or are there cheaters on these games? Because I find it just plain stupid and ridiculous the scores people have on this game, especially if they are playing on a mobile device. It doesn't make sense. I would love to watch a legitimate video/recording of these people playing to prove they are not cheating...

Proberbly South Koreans they have gaming as a profession and play for hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Most of these people are cheating. Same thing happens in PFX2.

High scores: They're either cheating or Korean.

I fear the scores of a cheating Korean.

Why cheat, I mean what's the fun in that? I am working BK2K right now and thought 50m was impossible until I strated playing more. Got 75m this AM, and I'm not even Korean!

Hmm.. not sure but OP's score of 4.5 billion can barely be considered "amateur" on ST:TNG. It's a massively scoring table and once you get good at it you should be able to get quite a bit more. So comparing yourself to the nr 1 spot in a game that has tens of thousands of players is futile unless you pump 10 hours per day for a solid 2 years and try to be the best. Once you've done that and can't reach the top, then you can start talking about cheating.

There has been word of an exploit for scores that (luckely) only works for mobile, farsight knows it, they are looking in to it ( i hope ) and if they really cant fix it then they should exclude mobile scores from the leadersboards and give mobile versions seperate leaderboards.

Update: Top spot on BK2K achieved after 7 hours and 45 minute of play. 273M!

Take that Tarek!

I think it adds up to a hack not skills.

It's not 5 minutes per table, it's 20 minutes per table and you can retry as many times as you want. The trick is to figure out how to get the most points in the shortest amount of time. So, with Twilight Zone I concentrated solely on completing door panels so I could get multiple runs of Lost in the Zone (wizard mode). I didn't bother with things like playing modes, multi-ball, etc. that don't score very well.

Yes, Korea should be banned from leaderboard, and have their own ''leader''board

Any leaderboards at any game is all rigged with a lot of cheaters. It's almost impossible to make a legit leaderboard. The only ones I take seriously are the ones video recorded for proof and even then it's easy to video edit stuff to the point of making the video look legit when it isn't.

Pretty sure most of the posted scores are legit. There is one or two obvious cheats who have something to prove, but generally the top scores are occupied by fantastic payers who have the grit and determination to play one game single mindedly for many hours. Just look on in awe and be happy if you scrape into the top 500.

I'm starting to keep track and try and beat some of my previous scores (I haven't really paid attention previously) but I'm sure something must have gone wrong somewhere?! I've got a score of 1,480,449,240 for Dracula and one for 1,015,324,330 for Bride of Pinbot. Given the scores I've got since I've been paying attention, there HAS to be a bug or something there!!? I'm not at all bothered about leaderboards or other scores - I just want to play against myself and beat my scores for my own enjoyment - is there anyway you can get them all reset under your username?
Relaxation Feb 19, 2016 @ 12:05pm
on BoP there is a billion point shot, 1.4b on dracula is also simple enough, when multiball jackpots climb you can score 500M+ each time.
XineBBSA Feb 19, 2016 @ 12:30pm
Ah that must be it - been a while since I've played them and I gave BoP a go then and noticed the Billion straight away! :) As long as I know my scores are OK, I can keep trying to beat them. I probably got those after I'd come back from the pub one night :D Thanks for the reply.
