Black Rose. Something's bothering me..

I have NEVER won the Match for replay thing with the bombs at the end, even after a considerable number of games. I know it's irrelevant in TPA but.. I hate to lose!

I would assume that this part of the game was handled by the original ROM so either Bally were pulling a fast one or Farsight have denied me the satisfaction of winning a replay for some reason...
Or I'm just incredibly unlucky.
Is it just me?

Matches can do that to you, so it's definitely not on Farsight's end. It's done that to me on No Good Gofers as well, so Black Rose isn't the problem here.

I have gotten one match on Black Rose on PC and No Good Gofers maybe 2 times on android version ... thats it. Tough match tables.

If the setting in the operator menu is correct, the match should happen 7% of the time -- a little less than the 1-in-10 that a fair match would give, and a LOT less than the 1-in-3 that the bombs seem to imply. If you've played 30 games or more without matching, that's a pretty unlucky streak :(

It makes me wonder it's not even a fair 7%; maybe the machine just aims to give 7% of games a match over a long period of time, but prefers to give them away in certain circumstances like after a low scoring game or when the machine has been sitting mostly idle

Interesting, 7% does seem mean given the misleading bomb animation, but even if there is some kind of situational weighting effecting when that 7% is awarded I still believe I should've won one by now, I've definitely had a lot of low scoring games!

Thanks for the answers anyway, I'll keep playing and look forward to winning a match at some point!

As someone who actually owns the real Black Rose pinball game, I can tell you that in real life, even if you match the bombs, you don't win a replay.

Black Rose has a bug from the original ROM in the virtual table. Everytime when you hit special it says: special:0 and you get no EB as described. Special:0 is giving you points anyway. They adjusted special award to points. So Extraballs are given by 5 times whirlpool or as a random award in video mode (or by Polly if she is in a good mood).
This is worth mentioning concerning "rating" of Black Rose!

"level of difficulty" rating sounds like these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rating agencies. ♥♥♥♥ them all!
