What's up with the table texture in Whoa Nellie?
The table itself is bad enough, but that texture...ouch. It's more blurry than my vision after a bottle of vodka.

Depends...

..on the vodka ;)

It does look rather blurry. There's also a very distinct line running through the playfield which is not very appealing. Perhaps there are two misaligned textures?

The horizontal line is an old bug that used to plague season 1 and 2 tables in the past. It makes me wonder if they rehired the old art people that did these things, or if this was such a rushed job that it was either not noticed by beta testers, or just simply ignored by Farsight in their rush to release on a Friday.

This is something that is hardly surprising though given the track record Farsight has established wrt not giving a sh!t, putting out broken releases, not fixing bugs, not communicating, not being responsive, not seeming to be aware of their decisions etc.

I thought so too, a little blownout on the bottom field.

Was hoping or an extensive Patchnote release going over lots of older tables, emulating Gorgar and replacing some playfield graphics that where of the 'old' standard.

Nice to get Buck and Nelly though.

It's almost like someone took a photo of the playfield with their phone.

It runs like crap and looks washed out and unfinished.
Par for the course as far as Farsight go. Wait another couple of weeks and maybe it will be in a playable state, I look forward to that and enjoying the new bugs they add to totally unrelated tables in the process.

I thought the same thing when I had a quick look at it. But I am not going to buy the two new tables in any case (a first for me) as they are extremely unappealing compared to so many Stern tables they could/should have done. I was just happy to see that Whoa Nellie looks extremely ugly and is way too bright. That makes my decision of not buying the tables so much easier :-)

UPDATE: Matt at FS posted this "The released version is using old assets for some reason, need to figure out why next week"
So it is going to be fixed and yeah, not polished nor finished version of texture :)

I will hold on purchase until a few patches and fixes both in the GFX and tweaking department.

I want a bigger update overall! Any news on the progress on the Engine? Personally I am starting to feel there need to be Always some updates to the old Williams tables too for every update!

I own everything, and I mean everything - including Adams Gold edition - I am ready and willing to support FS with my purchases but want a little bit more, that is all...

Still no fix for Nellie playfield?
Ginnungagap Sep 29, 2018 @ 3:06pm
Has this been fixed? Was thinking about getting this table today

Same here, just dont want to pay for the table while it looks so bad right where you are looking most of the time.

It's still blurry and still has that line.

Seriously? There’s been no fix for some simple bugs dating back to season one. Don’t hold your breath, you might hurt yourself.
