very strange
Yes!
I accidentally discovered this glitch as well. The first time, I tried to play a table with a glitched background and it completely froze, Pinball Arcade and Steam, so I wasn't able to get a screenshot as proof. Restarting the program fixed all the backgrounds again and so I started doing the same thing as before and replicated the glitch.
-Load into Pinball Arcade.
-Go to Arcade where all the icons of all the tables are.
-Click into a launch screen for a table and toggle the heart icon to mark or unmark a table as a favorite but do not actually play the table.
-Click back into Arcade and select a different table launch screen, again toggle the heart to mark or unmark a table as a favorite.
-Repeat twenty-one times on different tables, there can be no repeat selections.
-On the twenty-second different table launch screen, and all the tables of the game thereafter, will be glitched to a SEARINGLY PINK background of a pink elephant with DUMMY diagonally across it.
From this point on tables will fail to load, locking up the program and Steam client. Even if you click the header icon to go back to the initial introductory screen in the program and try to go direct into the last table previously played the game will crash out.
However, restarting the program restores its functionality.
