Blessed weapons and armor are very rare drops, but they do exist in the demo.
We also had the special Halloween event this past October, which doubled the size of the demo for a while. That'll be back next year.
If you've done all that, you've seen pretty much all the demo offers.
Next stop: early access sometime in the next few months.
Also as a side note: I'm sure many changes will be made and the final product will greatly differ, but as I only have access to the demo, I ran 3 characters from lvl 1 to lvl 8 and I only saw one blessed item (if that's what the blue sparkly effect means, it does not say Blessed). It was cloth pants not even better than the compression pants you can just go farm quickly. I guess my point is the drop rate is abysmal and they don't seem to serve much purpose unless you get exactly the "best for your lvl/area" blue sparkly to drop.
P.S There's also a distinct lack of new weapons to acquire. The mold for the copper sword seems to be the best thing you can get. I've killed every named in the demo hundreds of times and not seen anything even like a good weapon drop. Closest thing is the blackwood mace which is not better than the copper sword.
Blessed items are just a fun, rare chance. They're not necessary to progress but it adds a nice wrinkle to the game if you like to minmax, it gives a reason to "camp" a spawn if you enjoy that playstyle. The blessed bonuses scale off of the item level, so level 1 cloth pants won't get much. Level 35 pants though will get +35 to +50 to every stat, which is huge. if you don't want to camp for those, you can always move on and progress just fine.
In a full playthrough you can expect to find 4-5 blessed items, and there are ways to bless items outside of just finding them too.
The wiki is made by the current beta testers, they have what is essentially the full early access release. I'm just refining it based on their feedback at this point.
