Your Favorite Class?
I wish Steam had polls. I know the game is new and it's Early Access. But so far, which class is your favorite?

I love playing Druid, but I suffer from Alt-aholism. So, I am thinking about making an Arcanist. I really love the idea of a CC Wizard.

I also love that we no longer have to choose a solo class for Open World questing. Now, we can find a team whenever we want.

Pally, best class in every game, this game is no exception. Pally for life.

I am legitimately surprised by the lack of people playing paladin. Main reasons..
-Basically a 0 downtime infinite target aoe CC, if you CC and kite back, takes them a few seconds to run to you, it's back up and you can cc again. Since you are the tank, they only target your mobs and won't break the CC either.
-Dps is competitive with all except duelist. (my pally currently out dps's my arcanist if I put on dps weapon)
-Tanky as all hell while also having competitive dps
-Self healing, While not as strong as the druid, once you get later game gear with a bit of resonance, I can self heal myself through most encounters higher level than me.
-Sooo many debuffs. Steal enemy attack speed, lower their attack rating by 20%, and my new personal favorite, lower all their resists. the last one basically doubled my dps using elemental proc weapon/shield combo.

Feel like people are sleeping on this class honestly.

Since I played more tank, I like Duelist so I have only myself to blame for getting killed (also, the Druid since they are the healer).

It's kind of weird being a mana battery tho. A weird role for Duelist.

well I've only played a druid but I think being the healer is a large part of the reason I was able to make it to where I am now.

Hello fellow altoholic! =)
I also started with the Druid and decided I didn't actually want to be a healer, so at level 5 or 6 I switched to Arcanist, who dinged 10 last night.

For my Arcanist I've got a good rotation down (which I enjoy having), and my SimPlayers are doing well tanking and healing and so I'm happy standing back DPSing.

...before long I'm sure I'll make a Duelist... ;-)

LOVE Duelist, but it does feel like theres not much weapon variety for some reason. Thats my only complaint lol, 90% of the weapons i see drop are Paladin weapons.

It funny because duelist is my favorite class too and I always felt like I was giving them an unfair amount of weapons but when you look at it, paladins do have more at the moment (partially because most 2h options are exclusively paladin).

If there are level gaps where you feel duelist needs some gear love, by all means post it :)

The AI plays the healer perfectly tbh. With the thresholds for healing staggered on the paladin, they will react and heal accordingly. The AI plays the tank better than a player too, much faster on targeting and taunt reaction. The Duelist is probably the most simple, although depending on gear your AI Duelist may get himself killed if he does more threat than the tank can handle. The Arcanist is best played by the player, its a bit better now that the resists have been adjusted, but the AI can't manage the same complexity as a player.
Duelist all day, It's like I'am a Warlock Warrior Rogue all in one.

Well I was able to kill the boss in the Gardens at level 30, but I dunno if the AI would have timed the heals properly, I'm not saying the AI druid is bad, I'm just saying I dunno if I would have been able to kill some bosses without being the healer and preemptively healing. My Pala was basically 3 hits from dying on some of the fights i've done and I had to start casting before the next hit landed.

With the jank of tab targeting the AI plays the tank, healer, and crowd control better than any player could. I like the dualist since I can put mana restoration on 1 and 2 and just keep cycling them to keep the group topped up and they can handle the rest. Any DPS I do is a nice bonus. It's strange how when the player plays the arcanist it deals about the same DPS as the dualist and has no mana issues even if you spam cast. If the game plays the arcanist that mana disappears fast and can double the DPS of an over geared dualist with a perfect ability rotation (most of the time). The only down side of letting the NPC play the arcanist is when his crowd control breaks there is no threat from the tank since it causes damage and would break a CC, so the arcanist often gets 2 shot before he can redo CC or catch a heal. Also irritates a dualist pulling, the group tends to decide to fight any other mob in the group and CC the creature you put your DoT on.

adjust the healing threshold to 100% and the AI healer will heal before they've taken damage
Arcanist-----I control the battlefield...........

adjust the healing threshold to 100% and the AI healer will heal before they've taken damage

but then they'd be healing everyone, I could have tried 99%.

honestly go try kill Eldori Molrai at level 30 with an AI healer and lemme know how well that goes. I was spam healing for 10+ minutes as my guys were low enough to barely be able to land a hit. and my pala would have died if I had stopped chaining heals one after the other, if I tried to heal the other party members it would have been long enough for him to take lethal damage.

so what I'm saying is that, the only reason I think I made it to where I am now, is because I'm healing and not the AI.
