Controls a hot mess - in the demo at least...

Enabled the gamepad, but when using the left stick to moves, the character moves AND the camera rotates to the right.

Switched to kbm controls, but none of the prompts ('h', 'i', etc.) that the tutorial told me to use worked at all.

Checked the settings, everything shows correctly, but other than the escape key and WASD keys, nothing worked as it should.

Also, while I'm not bald, I do wear my hair short, but typically play with a bald avatar because the short hair options in most games aren't great. This is, however, yet another game that doesn't even have an option to go bald WHILE having a poor selection of short hairstyles.

Gamepad support is not all the way there yet, unfortunately. I'd really recommend mouse and keyboard until I can get gamepad controls locked in.

As far as keyboard inputs not working, I'm not sure - I'd try disabling gamepad mode on the main menu and giving it another go if you're up for it.

Bald is a big request - I'll work on that.

The first thing I did was exit back to the main menu, disable gamepad controls and try again - was still the same thing, couldn't open the inventory using "i" and couldn't greet a selected NPC using the "h" key.

Turns out that I had to exit the game completely, so I'm guessing that enabling gamepad controls screw something up that can't be fixed by simply disabling it without exiting the game.

I do have a question though - I see that the game pulls your Steam user name and also pre-populates the password field, but what password is this, as to my knowledge the game shouldn't/couldn't be pulling your Steam password...?

It's a single player game that is emulating an MMORPG. MMORPGs have log in details, but as a single player game, it does not. The 'password' is purely for immersion

Also, the controller left joystick moving the camera left and right is because that is what WASD does on the keyboard (unless holding the right mouse button to lock the camera). Again, this is due to emulating the MMORPG feel of the early 2000s

Interesting - in that case, I'm glad you're including gamepad support, as none of the early MMORPGs actually had gamepad support, or at least none of the ones I played back then lol (EQ, SWG. WoW, EVE, etc.). Now, however, my hands aren't what they used to be and gamepad play is deeply appreciated.

It doesn't actually pull your password, that's not public facing for developers like your display name.
That box is just populated with asterisks for the illusion.
