Are the trade offers real?

NPC players will yell out trade requests. But I can't seem to pickup gold to open trade with them

Yes they are real. At the moment they just want random items. In the future we plan to make the reading more intuitive where they will want items that benefit them.

For now you just need to click and drag the item from your inventory to them.

The WTB is clear, its the WTS ones specifically.
