Which class should I play for my first playthrough?
I'm really reluctant to pick a class because they each seem so cool! I mean, the Marines look like they're the standard, run 'n' gun class, so maybe they're the best choice to get the SS2 experience, but the Navy kind of seem more like how I like to play, with hacking and such. Finally, the OSA....I just can't NOT have Psionic abilities. It's just not going to happen. Is it at all possible to have a build that allows regular gunplay, supported by a few Psi abilities, AND hacking? Thank you in advance! :)

Military.... play as a FPS with minimal support skills.

Then play PSI or NAVY... for a different game!

Honestly I recommend Navy because Hacking will save you a LOT of nanites in the long run, & you can build a navy to play similar to Military. But whatever you do... Do not do PSI your first time through

So I shouldn't go full Psi, but I can have like 2 or 3 powers?

Honestly Psi isnt worth doing unless you're gonna go full psi due to the cybermodule cost. You're better off spending them on other things, like Maintinence & Research.

I love Psi. Without Cyrokinesis/Pyrokinesis, this game is somewhat tough.

Ok, I think I'm gonna do a regular shooter playthrough with just one teeny weeny Psi power, (because I just can't leave it alone) and some other skills like hacking and research, THEN a full Psi playthrough. Is everyone ok with this?

Yeah, like I said, I'll put some points in hacking, research, etc...

I went OSA for my first playthrough for some weird reason. Probably because I wasn't thinking.
It was definitely a challenge, but I was able to balance it with good hacking, and having just an upgraded pistol and a laser rapier was enough weapon for me to get through it all. Pyrokinesis was my saving grace in the end game, though.

I've just started as psi and got to the engineers level, my main concern is that I run out of psi pretty quickly and right now I'm using mainly a wrench as it does better damage and I take less damage while using it as its much faster and more damage than the starting psi damage skill.

I was hoping pyrokinesis would help so I saved up for it but I've checked it up online to be sure and it said *again not very useful*... it seems there is no useful psi skills till you turn the amp into an amazing melee weapon as such should I just be focusing on psi that makes a melee build instead while saving up for the skill to make the amp a melee? or are people just a bit pesimistic saying pryomaniac isn't very good.

Oh and on that note should I be leveling psi first with these points I've saved up to increase cryokinesis damage and my psi pool or is it better to get pyrokinesis as iv almost got enough for level 3 psi skills and that skill? (basically is 38 points best spent on stats or a bigger spell)

First playthrough, go Navy, and choose hacking and maintenance. With your first upgrades, get hacking to lvl 4 (lets you hack turrets, which you can lead enemies to, for free kills), maintenance to lvl 3 so you can repair weapons 3 levels (do this first), and put some points into standard weapons (3+).

With this setup, you never need to find another weapon, because you can maintain your own, you can hack crates to turrets, and you will do decent damage.

Hacking however, is going to save you the most grief. Being able to shut down security, hack two turrets, and then stand back while they kill 10 enemies, using zero of your own ammo... priceless. :berserk::sentry:
