Help installing SS2tool?
My friend is trying to install the SS2 tool to his SS2 steam directory but it won't let him click OK or next. Is there a problem?

You don't need it. Just install mods to perm or temp in the SS2 folder

It's not for mods, it's to get the multiplayer function working. He can't install it and we can't play

hes talking about using it to use multiplayer. I just moved my ss2 file to desktop, did the process, then moved it back. the stupid tool wont let you do it if the file is in the confines of your program files

its not the tools fault but windows, if you are running vista or above, then windows locks the program files directory, so that programs like SS2 tool and other programs from writing to that directory, you could try giving the program admin access, or turn off UAC, but a better soluton is to install programs to another directory, outside of programs file, but in this case moving stuff to another folder, running the tool, and moving it back, works too, but personally, I don't really install to the programs file directory unless its a few programs like AV's and some other stuff,

You dont need the mod anymore for co op, steam updated SS2 overnight for me and added the co op feature, must have been a problem at release.

Never had that issue with other mod tools like SS2Tool.
