Gross out

I'm going to be honest, I think this is the only game I've ever played that feels like it's intentionally trying to do gross out and I really like that. I wanna know if anybody else felt this game being a gross out game.

I'm going to assume OP is seven years old and hasn't learned the term "body horror" yet, so "gross out game" is the best he could come up with.

What does "gross out" even mean?
Also, neither SS2 nor SOMA's intention is to "gross you out", there's a bit more to it than that. Body horror in those games is a means, not an end. Calling it "gross out game" is oversimplifying it.

The body horror is something I find disgusting in a good way, I didn't oversimplify it I explained the only detail that I felt needed to be explained, gross out should be really obvious by word meaning, it just means something intended to gross you out.

You said that it's intentinally trying to gross you out, like that's the end goal of the game, while i said it's not the point.

The player character getting strogged in Quake 4 is probably more gross-out than this game and all its community maps available combined.

Yeah I memba the stroggification, it's a little comical in retrospect now due to the game being complete crap and Kane doing stock pain sounds throughout the whole thing

scorn was so ♥♥♥♥. I followed that game since 2017 expecting killer lore and gameplay, and instead we got a biological puzzle game with no story whatsoever. there is literally nothing to that game at all. it's just a animated series of art assets.

I got a little of that vibe from SS2 back in the day, sure. Less now, since the graphics are so dated, but I get what you're saying. Scron is probably the ultimate in body horror gross-out, as far as mainstream games go. Unfortunately, that game was also super boring to play. : \
