System Shock® 2 (Classic)

Holding down the mouse button while scrolling on a Mac is wacky!
I'm playing System Shock 2 on OS X Yosemite v10.10.3 using a third-party USB wireless mouse (Logitech M325) and using the SmoothMouse app. I've matched the resolution to my native (1920x1080), edited the cam and cam_ext settings to stop vsync and input the correct resolution in those files.

And the problem still exists. Whenever I hold my mouse button down and move the mouse to look around, the view control goes wacky! It turns around quickly and stutters out of control. If I move the mouse real slow, it's alright. Is there a fix for this problem? I've searched the forums to find nothing...

Sounds like it's really sensitive, not sure if it's possible to turn that down in the Mac OS because of the lack of customization the OS has (from what i've seen) compared to say, Windows and Linux.
Although there is an option in the game menu which can substitute.

Tried turning the mouse sensitivity down in game, still goes jerky when the mouse button is held. Even when I scroll very lightly, I end up 180 degrees! If I turn off SmoothMouse, I can't even touch the Steam menu... Thanks for the tip, though.

messing with vsync is not recommended.

Is there a contol panel of sorts or anywhere you can mess around with how sensitive the mouse is in the operating system?

I adjusted the mouse sensitivity on the regular mouse controls under System Preferences. I put a ";" back in front of "vsync_mode 0", in the cam_ext.cfg file. Still sputtering around like I got a nervous twitch when I hold the mouse button...
