god mode

anyway to set up God mode in this game, call me a ♥♥♥♥♥ or scardy cat but I'd like to have the option if I need to for this old school game.

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Locate the "user.cfg" file in the game directory. If it is not present, copy the "ip.cfg" file from the "\help" directory to the game directory and rename it to "user.cfg". Use a text editor to edit the "user.cfg" file. Just play on Easy as a Standard type Marine and get all the damage enhancing bonuses from Research, Modify, and the Sharpshooter OS.

you don't need god mode. If you want to use a cheat code, just use ubermensch at the prompt

That "uber" command somebody mentioned b4, that worked back in the day, does it still IDK. But "god mode" really?? Besides god is not gonna get you thru any better then you can do with the items already there for you. Shodan is god, n your pose to kill her, or did you miss that part.

This game was ahead of it's time when it was new, and the under $3.00usd price tag made it a must play for me since my org. disk got lost over the yrs.

So, does this game get any harder as time goes on? I am two hours in and it's been extremely easy so far. I chose hard mode, in case you were wondering. Also, this is my first playthrough of this game, and I know almost nothing, so no spoilers please.

I think I just hit the cargo bay. Found the audio log of the woman hiding in there with a shotgun.

good, what your looking for is all the way in the back. do that and you'll get the elevator doors to open. your still down on lvl 1, lvl 4 is gonna be fun for some n hard for others. oh don't forget to stop on lvl 3 on your way up, and don't step on anything strange looking.

Yep, I really missed playing this, and the story goes way deeper then what you see now, when you get to lvl 4, any blanks or doubt's you have/had will be filled in, pulling you in the rest of the way, just to see what happens next. Thats all I'm gonna say, find me when you finish and tell me all bout it
