System Shock 2 won't launch on Mac OS Catalina
Hello everyone! I just bought System Shock 2 and I can't launch the game. I'm on a Macbook Pro 2019, Mac OS Catalina.

When I click on "Play", the "Preparing to launch System Shock 2..." message pops up and then disappears. Steam says that the game is running, however nothing happens. I just checked the Activity Manager and it says that the game is running. Not sure what is going on.

Anyone else with the same issue?

Maybe they still in work, dev will respond soon mate
I just respond Strife Veteran Edition about the crash to desktop and they respond to me
Nightdive Studios always rebuilt it

On the steam page for SS2 go to settings (the little gear icon), properties, local files, and then browse. A finder window will open, right click on the game itself and then click open and it should open. I found this out through combing through these forums for months and trying a million different things and this is the first thing that has regularly and definitively worked for me. Hope this helps dude, have fun with the game if you end up playing it!

Tried it, but it didn't work for me :(

It also didn't work for me: "The file may be corrupt or incomplete and couldn't launch it."
