This game took to long to be released

A game called "Bodycam" has been released and took all the hype from Unrecord. I see Bodycam all the time in youtube, tiktok, etc and everyone 100% thinks that it's the same studio or the same game. Nobody talks about Unrecord anymore. When Unrecord finally release people will be like "Wait, i already played it, is that a copy?" You just gave the idea and the hype away for other developers, what a terrible way to do business

Take a look at unrecord's gameplay and you'll be able to tell why it's taking so long. And not just the first clip they made showing it off. There's even going to be a police chase that looks incredibly polished. The game looks absurdly detailed and im sure it takes a long time to animate and do things like make characters interact with objects because in the second gameplay trailer they made it shows off interacting with npcs and it looks like real life still. The amount of detail, the guy pulls something out of his pocket and hands it to the player and it tricked me like thats not a video game thats too real thats literally a guy.

and I dont think it took any hype away from it, it's going to be a full singleplayer game and thats why its taking so long. its done how bodycam was done and bodycams content pales in comparison to what unrecord will most likely have being a full story instead of just a few maps and gamemodes with most of the assets already done. Hopefully that tells you the difference between the two. Unrecord is still hyped on. Bodycam is gonna have updates though and even a zombies mode which is making me piss my pants

I'm sorry but this is clearly just wishful thinking bias. Nothing you said has been proven to be real yet, until it comes out, if it ever comes out. What you're referring to isn't even a gameplay trailer, but a teaser. We might as well start a theology discussion.

I'm really looking forward to this game, and I have no interest in Bodycam, but OP does make some (but not all) good points. It's just the unfortunate reality of game dev where if you show everyone a great idea that the clock then starts between you finishing your game and others copying your idea. I would much rather this dev take their time to release they game they envisioned in as polished a state as reasonably popular.

OP is right that a lot of the general consumer base is going to be, and remain, confused about the two games and think Bodycam is the same game as what they originally saw when the Unrecord trailer first dropped, and as a result this game will be deemed a "copycat" by the uninformed along with bad actors. I wish you luck, DRAMA.

I wasnt commenting on other games but on someone elses post which was a question to someone eles post who tried to correct the OP when the OP knows it was not released yet. Our 3 posts have nothing to do on the topic of other games taking or earning the fruits. i am well aware of that fact however.

Yeah hate to break it to you but besides the fact that BodyCam uses the same engine and similar combat style doesn't mean it's the same game. Literally the only thing keeping bodycam out of the dumpster fire is the graphics and the popular body cam style. Otherwise the game is literally dog water and everybody hates it.
But seriously you're comparing apples to oranges. BodyCam and Unrecord are two COMPLETELY different games with two COMPLETELY different visions. If people have already lost the hype about it, all that proves is how inpatient people are. Nothing more.
