You'll have to edit the config file "dosbox_swarrior_single.conf" in the game's "gameroot" folder. Go to the bottom of the file, the third line from the bottom should say "sw.exe" - change it to "setup.exe" and save it.
Now when you run the game it should launch the setup program, from where you can change your controls and other settings. Select "Save and launch Shadow Warrior" from the bottom of the menu to start the game.
But for inventory items, use should be Enter by default, and scrolling with [ and ] (might be something else on your layout such as ¨^~ – try the keys around enter and backspace).
thanks a lot, at spanish layout the buttoms to change them are ` and + and to use them click on the scroll or middle buttom of the mouse i guess, but now i just discovered that there is an alternative shot buttom, could you tell me what it is? thanks a lot buddy
I don't think there's an alternative shot button in the DOS version, only some ports. But what it does is toggle between the different weapon modes (for the weapons that have them), same like pressing 3 two times to change the shotgun mode.
I saw it in a channel called LGR (lazy games review), he says that is an alterniative shoot mode that you can use in every weapon, like that in the missile launcher you can sjoot nuclear missiles, but i dont know how you can use it, cause i pressed f1 but the buttons that lays at that menu isnt working for me, for example, for open doors its the e buttom, for jump its the space, for crouch, its the control, most like a modern shooter instead of what f1 menu says. :( Anyway, for me what worked its the scroll, middle buttom of the mouse, if you press it, you can use the active object, witch you can switch with the "`" or "+" buttoms.
My guess is that LGR talked about one of the other ports, maybe Shadow Warrior Classic Redux. DOS version doesn't have an alt fire button, but you just press the weapon number again to select the alt fire mode.
To toggle the alt fire modes, press the weapon keys a second or third time. Like, press 4 again to toggle double UZIs.
The weapons that have alt fire modes are:
1: Sword
3: Shotgun
4: UZIs
5: Rocket Launcher (needs special ammo)
9: Monster head
