Blake Stone patches
I noticed there are several official patches to Blake Stone (2.0, 2.1 and 3.0). Apogee Throwback Pack version is unpatched (1.0). I could not find any changelogs. Anybody have any clue what those patches fix?

I informed Apogee about this issue yesterday so hopefully it will get fixed. Especially since it's really difficult to get the official patches working without a Windows 98 machine. ;) I don't know what all was changed from version to version though.

In the mean time I updated ECWolf's patching utility to work with Blake Stone. http://maniacsvault.net/ecwolf/download.php (May need to scroll down a little.) Just run the utility in the same directory as the bs6 files and it should work smoothly.

I found this neat site which lists version differences for many apogee games, including Blake Stone.

Check it out: http://litude.webege.com/

My posts are hilarious.

This should be bumped as all games should be patched to their final versions.

Here's hoping for the patches to be applied

GOG is selling version 2.1, why the hell are they selling 1.0 here?

I hope everyone likes having their saved games wiped, they aren't compatible between versions.

if anything, the game "Planet Strike" should be the one getting patched. I say this, is because when I had both this and the original "Blake Stone", there's a glitch in the sequel that sometimes causes the friendly Informants to begin shooting at you. And of course, like in the original game, if you kill an Informant, you won't get any bonus points for keeping them alive.

Well the difference is AOG isn't the latest version in this package where as Planet Strike is (IIRC it's 1.01).
