jump gate

maybe I am kind of dumb, but I am at the first gate, all the lights are green and the lever that I assume is to be pulled to initiate the jump is not active. Am I missing something?

By the first gate do you mean the one right at the start of the demo? if so then if all the lights are green then the top centre switch should activate the jump so it doiesn't sound like you are missing anything. If you do get things working here's a tip for future jumps. the top light is for your distance from the gate. if it's not yellow try moving closer or backing up. the second light is for your position. if it;s not yellow your not lined up right, try getting your truck pointed straight at the centre of the gate. third light is your speed it'll turn yellow once you are at a full stop. once all the lights are yellow they's start turning green and you'll be able to jump

Thanks Fabe! I did not notice the overhead lever and kept trying the one on the lower left. Duh.

your welcome. good thing the left one was deactivated at that point in the demo otherwise you would have unhooked the trailer you were hauling
