Elite Dangerous is tedious. Have you seen the gameplay trailer for this game? It involves walking around inside your ship, flipping switches, patching holes, it has a ton more gameplay than E:D.

Star Citizen is your game!.. If it ever becomes a game.. Plenty of switch flipping, walking around in your ship.. operating multiple stations on ship if you desire. Even in its unfinished state it is mostly playable. I started for $45... Got addicted slowly now I am up to $650.
But really.. that is the title you will be looking at.

Define "Realism". As to waiting for SC I hope you are young! Though it is addictive in its current barely started state. Pad rammers and pirates..theres the realism of a PVP MMO.

This is a demo. You only get the starter truck. to pull 2 or three containers you would need bigger engines. Eventually bigger engines will need a beefier truck frame etc. If not to upgrade and buy stuff why make money.

Yeah, sure its a demo and you dont see all of the game, but as long as i read, there is only this one Truck, yes you can "upgrade" it, but the model seems to be the same, that is what i was talking about from the infos we can get about the full game

This is Americana trucking in space and it's beautiful. Plenty of other games to get what you're looking for.
