Report a translation problem
Sorry to hear about the trouble you're facing. We’ve received similar reports from other players. If you could provide a report to our support desk, it would really help us track down the problem: https://rawfury.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1
Thank you for your understanding!
I've ALSO had situations where after a downjump someone saw me, honked, and flew to the side so they didn't impact me.
i was lucky the edgeburgh jump came with an autosave so all i had to do was jump again and pull off to the side. the trucker still came through behind me after the auto save but i was no longer in the downjump lane so things were safe the second time around.
And it's repeatable. Just not sure If I tried 3 trailers through that gate prior to that mission. but now ever time through that gate my middle trailer if hauling 3 will be damaged 100% along with it's contents.
Haze way is a must avoid sector at this point, not only is it a pain to navigate you can NEVER leave it safely. I reported the bug on the website but this is madness.
Oh, and I didn't even get paid afterwards. In fact, I owe them money. I just reloaded the save and... didn't take the job.
Not going to lie guys, between this, forklifts slamming into me when I'm docked and getting me fined, the razor thin margins, there being no way to change battery drain systems after you start the game, the fact that 'debris detected' messages cover up the cameras I'm using to try and avoid the debris and the screens i use to inspect the damage caused by the debris I ran into because I couldn't steer around them because my cameras were covered up... this doesn't feel like a released game.
I know i'm frustrated at the moment and, sorry, I don't mean to take it out on you, but its just... very disappointing to have runs consistently marred by these bugs.
You're just mad at this moment, let your head cool down before writting a comment next time. This is one singular bug and you're acting like the entire game is unplayable, it will get fixed.
That's a lot of complaints, but I've read that there's a toggle switch in the dash somewhere so the "debris detected" screen doesn't cover other useful screens up at critical moments. It may even be documented in the manual.
That said, if at all possible at this stage I would hope that some of the difficulty options could be changed once having started a game-- I personally played on default for a maximum of a couple of hours before realizing I didn't want to babysit batteries, fuses and air filters constantly, and be on the edge of bankruptcy, so I started over with a custom difficulty. I might have made it too easy but I can at least enjoy the game.
I was upset in the moment and I let myself go off in one in the comments, I admit that, so apologies for that. Its just... This game is very charming, its a really cool concept, and the atmosphere of the game is great... when you're not constantly stressing out because batteries run down in 15 mins or because your cargo got wrecked by you slamming into an asteroid on the other side of a jump gate, or you're getting fined for collisions while you're currently docked and the little forklifts are slamming into you repeatedly.
I guess I'm so frustrated because I WANT this game to succeed, I want to be able to recommend it to my friends who ask about it. As it is... it kind of feels early access and when my friends say "is that any good" I have to say "its a bit too rough to recommend at this point."
I did find that switch eventually, but thanks for letting me know here! I agree, on the default settings things run down so quickly and everything costs so much that what should be a chill game about space trucking becomes incredibly stressful, which is then added on to with things like this that are outside of your control and can ruin a run.
I guess thats kind of my bad, though its a shame I now have JIT missions taking up slots in my mission list when I really don't want to do them. That's a personal preference though.
There's a toggle switch up on the top of the controls, {look upward while in the drivers seat} you can throw to "disable alerts" or some such that will turn off that annoying pop up message so you can actually see the debris when flying by camera.
It doesn't help with the rest of the issues, but when/if you start over with the custom difficulty settings to get around the other hassles, you'll find it helpful.
