Not in the slightest, they have Documented information about 6DOF in their Games, so yes they 100% do have 6DOF JUST like Star Trucker's Driver Assist Mode.
Unfortunately for you, you can't prove a single thing as there is absolutely nothing documented or even mentioned by a Developer to back up your fantasy which spawned into existence from ignorance.
I even have Video demonstrations right here in this very topic showing the similarities between Star Trucker, and Manual Control in Star Citizen.
I completely understand not everyone has the knowledge about some basic physics, but seriously, start paying more attention in School kid, because this is embarrassing.
I look forward to your "Source" of the Trucks being designed to "move like a Truck" though from the Developers, should be an interesting read.
Let's see it.
Anyway, I don't understand the desperate need for 6DOF controls as the game is working really good for me with only 4DOF controls and I have the impression that it works as it is designed to work. I have no issues with docking and also no issues avoiding collisions so I'm still wondering why strafing controls should be needed to enjoy the game.
The "Assist Mode" is 6DOF.... which is Left/Right/Up/Down forces pushing you more quickly into your desired direction..... This is HOW 6DOF works... which is what exactly this game is mimicking.
It is not "feeling like a Truck", it is literally applying 6DOF inputs that you find in SPACESHIP GAMES such as Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, X Series...
Example, in Star Citizen, "Assist Mode" is simply called "Coupled Mode", you fly straight and turn, then you will automatically be pushed into your new direction containing a slight sluggish drift... EXACTLY like Star Trucker.
If you turn off Couple Mode and only limit yourself to using your Rear Thrusters in Star Citizen and turn, you will turn EXACTLY like "Driver Assist" being turned off in Star Trucker.
There is no "Truck feel", there is "Automated 6DOF feel".
Wow, Schools are seriously failing nowadays.
Anyway... I don't disagree with you in this point (assist uses 6DOF controls) and I think the other ones involved got your point too but we think that making 6DOF controls available to the user is not necessary and not intended by the developers.
If I press the “W” key in Star Trucker then only the nose of the truck rises and I still have to use the main drive and accelerate so that the truck rises vertically. (it behaves more like an airplane)
That's the big difference, and in my opinion the annoying part of the whole control system.
