It's especially frustrating when trying to fly without assist for proper newtonian physics/flight. Without being able to strafe as you called it somewhat fittingly, non-assisted flight is kind of a joke.
Instead they've done neither and made the docking even more strict than it was in the demo, before you could get away with being off centre and rely on the game to twist you into position.
While I'm complaining I also don't appreciate getting fined $200 for two traffic collisions during the tutorial before they even let me get out of the chair. Is it that hard to not have AI traffic spawn up your ass for that small section?
I wish you could steer the Truck with the Mouse and assign a modifier Key like Alt+Mouse or so for the Cockpit View. Implement a toggle Key for the view at the Left side Monitor for the times you need to go backwards for coupling. Use W for forward thrust and S for brake/reverse. This would it make much less frustrating.
Space for Forward Thrust and Shift for Brake/Reverse and the Nose steering with W/S/A/D are so unintuitive for me.
But since the game penalizes you for taking too long with these tasks (both with timed deliveries and with all your systems consuming the batteries which cost monnies), I would have as well preferred it to be either unlimited by time or to have shortcuts.
Did you guys complain that there wasn't a brake in Lunar Lander
I think if the controls of the game are proving to be a barrier to you, perhaps consider getting a copy of Star Citizen or Elite; Dangerous. I've played both of those games and I personally prefer SC but E;D is great too.
