I'm loving this game so far (the very little I've played) and coming from ATS, I was a little surprised to see TIR left out.
It's exclusion is far from a game breaker, but having it would bring the game up to a whole different level, in my opinion as it would be both helpful when playing and for immersion building within this game.
1st Person could be interesting to implement effectively. They could disable it as you walking around or being in the suit has far less of an issue with needing to be able to actually turn your head to look compared to being in the cab of your truck.
(For me: Rebindable keys are needed badly and first. After that TIR, and then I'd really love HOTAS/joystick controls sometime in the future. But one thing at a time :) )
Keybinds will be in the next Build. Then during Phase 2 they are implementing more Controller Support such as HOTAS. They have also said that they have bought a bunch of Head Tracking Hardware to do some testing, so it does look like they are serious about it, but implementing something is completely different then having a view to get it done.
Hopefully everything will go as planned and they will deliver.
It 100% does, because shortcuts tend to lead to laziness.
