I noticed that too, and I was amazed the game is not even optimized....
We're sorry you're experiencing these issues. We're working on performance updates and improving different sectors, and we’ll keep you in the loop.
Thanks for your understanding!
I just started playing for the first time and seems to run just nice and cold on mid/high settings, 1080p resolution, 60 FPS, using a i7 10700 + RTX 2060 Super setup, which is kinda old hardware nowadays.
· What resolution are you playing on?
· Are your drivers up to date? (Specially for GPU).
· When did you last update your BIOS?
This game needs to find a way to utilize more resources. I cant even hit the refresh limit on my monitor and the game leaves about 50-55% of my system unused. And since its not reaching the refresh limit of my monitor (165hz), there should be no reason this game is not using more system resources to push the performance.
And ive heard many more reports (and posts here on steam) that this game just does not impact their systems and leaves tons of performance on the table.
And sure it mayby a 1st world problem, but to me this is the basic stuff of gamedesign. To me it feels like they underoptimized the game and counted on hardware to bruteforce the sollution.
I tried 1080 and 1440p, all settings, all drive types and everything updated (bıos, gpu drive..). I have 5600x and 6600xt and the problem isnt that my parts are low. Just game cant use more than 50%~
Hopefully you're working on this a tad bit faster than on adding keybindings. because it's been over 2 months and you haven't done it yet. And it's the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ basic feature in a PC game, ever. If working on performance is done at the same speed, I suppose people can expect a functional game by 2032.
Not entirely true. Some games tie the physics simulation to FPS. More FPS means physics goes bonkers. That's why all "The Crew" games are capped at 60 FPS, for exemple. If there is something like this here, there can be a soft limit above which the game will not go to avoid causing physics bugs.
But hey, if that's not what's going on here, then something is half-cooked. Can't say I'm surprised if it's the case...
By that logic:
My car can rev up to 6000rpm.
I'll drive it redlining on 1st gear all the time to use 100% of engine's potential (6000rpm)
If the engine explodes the radiator was inadequate.
(Is that how optimization works?)
but no that comparison is stupid. More accurately would be you bought a high end sportscar, but you are forced to use a 3 speed gear box thus beeing forced not to use the car as intended because of some design flaw.
You want to go faster, but you just cant because the gearbox is holding the car back.
Same for a 14700k + 6000mhz ddr5 + 4090 not even hitting my screen refresh rate of 165hz because the game doe not have a 4th, 5th, 6th or even 7th gear in the gearbox thus utilizing only 40-50% of the machine it runs on.
And if this game or any game hits my screen refresh rate and not utilizing 100% GPU, thats fine. I dont need 100% usage on my GPU, but i dont like games leaving perfomance on the table and have noticebled 1% lows, stutters on scene changes like comming out of lightspeed from sector to sector, etc.
On the other hand, i have seen so many bugs created by attempt to get better parallelism. You need to know what you re doing.
Yeah, you're most likely right :/
