ENGINE OVERHEAT UNPLAYABLE
I played for 10 hours with the engine efficiency setting to "normal", i could go full throttle through whole sectors without overheating once and I thought this was stooped.
So I went back and restarted a new career with the engine efficiency setting to "poor", now my engines overheat twice a sector when not even going full throttle, i mean not even 1/4 throttle. and recovering from that takes like 10 minutes.

Absolutely unbalanced.
Either make the normal setting to overheat when pushing the limits
or
weaken the effect on poor engine setting

I don't want to take away from this beautiful game that got me hooked after an hour of playing, sure, i absolutely get furious when things don't go my way but I think it is designed this way, its a hard game, not a cruise along. So I dont mind If I die and have to restart.

Please don't see this thread as a request, its a demand

EDIT: i tried to upgrade the engine cooling efficiency to max out for non overheating engines and its the same thing, overheating at half throttle. i also tried to micromanage both engines but overheating was also inevitable.
i dont know if outside temperatures affect the effect but to be clear it was 14 degrees

EDIT 2: maybe its not a settings problem and the overheat mechanics but with the controller itself, like that the game doesnt realize i just gently squeeze the trigger. maybe the game recognizes it always as if i go full power

The game shows you the first that you can leave the truck and cool down the engines manually what just takes 1 few sec :lunar2019deadpanpig:

you just dont get the point buddy. everyone knows that you can get out of the seat and cool down the engine manually. its about flying slow af and the engines still overheat af.
did you really think you helped or accomplish anything with your comment? asking for a friend

Strangly i just had that one time :lunar2019deadpanpig: whats makes sense when you drive around with 125C outside tempature :lunar2019piginablanket:

when having the settings of the engine changed you always overheat, but on recommended settings it almost never happens, even when going full throttle through a whole sector. that seems a bit off.
do you think the outside temperature has an impact on the overheating?

damn, you are no help at all

so i tried a workaround: I started a career with the engine efficiency to poor, gave myself 10.000 starting funds, went to the next truck shop and upgraded the engine 3 times to not overheat, cant remember what the upgrade was called. there was no change in overheating so it is def not very well implemented in the game. please change devs

Turn off the driving assistant when you are not actively maneuvering. Then, according to Newtonian physics, it will be enough for you to accelerate and stop pressing the pedal. The truck will continue to move at the same speed. The driver's assistant dampens acceleration in three planes.

yea they overheat to fast, did you try assist mode turned off that thing is non stop adjusting
what i seen [on external view] the thrusts slow you down [very slowly] if that don't add heat to maybe
P.S. i switch back to normal so i can not test it

i tried. overheating still applies as if there is some kind of friction in space
