How to hitch trailer during an electric storm?

I have accepted a JIT job from crossvale to spark city. But the pickup spot has an electrical storm going on. I have docked to shops and job boards in electrical storm before by backing my truck all the way back and moving around till I can get a lock on. But if I try that with a trailer, it just moves back. I don't think I can wait for the storm to pass because I will be late for the delivery. Is there some way to dock with the docking computer that is not blindly backing up?

Use your external free camera to get close to the magnetic point, then switch back to FPV to throw the switch?

Pretty sure the switch will work but the tolerance for being 'in range' is tiny, especially if you're at any sort of an angle.
