Not the most effective way to do it, but for now I don't know any other way. 🤷♂️
I personally gave up on these orders until better ways will appear... 😅
Luckily you don't lose too much for being late on those deliveries, maybe 5-10% from personal experience...
I prefer this to waiting 40 minutes doing nothing but drain the batteries.
If it's 10 minutes, I'll make sure the systems are good, batteries are replaced and drop the trailer to visit the shops.
I pulled into the gas station and shut the engine/thrusters down, and listened to the radio.
(Just like you would do in games like, for example, Skyrim. Where you open a menu and select "Wait for x hours". In this case, "Wait for x minutes")
It's a feature of the game. Just-In-Time deliveries are high premium so you should only take them on after calculating your arrival window. If you arrive early, as mentioned elsewhere, once you have the scanner, you can park the cargo temporarily and use the time to salvage, which should offset the extra costs wasted in battery and filter drain.
But to offer a time skip without the cost penalty would break the balance of the Just-In-Time premium bonus.
