Time skip is urgently needed!
I'm sure people have already pointed this out. The game needs a time skip mechanic as soon as possible. How the devs overlooked this is beyond me (together with the absence of key shortcuts).
Time skip is not just a convenience, it is a necessity for "just in time jobs", since the game is in real time (outside of hyperspace travel) you frequently have to wait 30-40 real time minutes, are you kidding me? The workaround is to use a gate to change area and then come back, but of course doing this messes up your chances of completing the job in the time schedule.
If you didn't plan to implement this feature why on Earth would you put such a kind of job type?

Completely agree- I'm staying far away from the just-in-time jobs because of this. Working out the time it takes on the map between different jumps, only to find you're 40 minutes short, isn't that fun.

Easy fix: functional bed in the cabin. Slider for time skip from 30 minutes to 10 hours.

Smallest should be 10 minutes and biggest should be 24hrs (for those shopping sprees and vendor resets.)

You have to sit there with the game in focus (because time didn't seem to progress when I tested it by (windows keying out - don't alt tab because the game, even from the main menu, will remember your ALT press..... same thing with Shift+Tab it will remember the shift key press and it will stick until you hit it again) went out waited two minutes and no time had passed.

Hi!

Thank you all for your comments and feedback. We're working on the 'In Time Jobs' right now, but we agree that this would be an ideal way to integrate the sleeping functionality. It's definitely something we're considering for the future!

I love the idea of a sleep mechanic the dev suggested. Maybe it's elite dangerous in my blood... But IMO these trips are short enough to justify not having time skip.

Time skip is only for Just in Time jobs where you have to sit in front of the pc doing nothing for 30 min. I agree I never feel like skipping any of the space travelling as that is very engaging, unlike in Elite Dangerous where I would gladly have a sleep mechanic for a 500k Ls travel

If you could tab out and the game ran in the background (with sound for O2 alarms etc) so I could use my other monitor and do whatever that would be an okay compromise.
