And thats it?
Not sure what was I expecting, but definitely more content than there is now.
So just some +% upgrades for truck, less than basic skill tree and some tedious part swapping?

Disappointed, could be a great game.

The really bad Alaskan truck sim has ,more content, bigger maps, and things to do than this and the maintenance at least makes sense. This is just sad. I was really hoping for more on release.

Yeah, but well it was 1€ for me so not gonna cry :)
Bit sad, this could be really great game - now it looks like they took MS money and finished project.
Rebel Galaxy 2 vibes.

Honestly, I am disappointed as well. I like trucking things around, but 80% of time I am not a trucker but a space mechanic. This is not what I hoped for when I bought it. This would have been an okay experience if the game was below 10 hours, but if you want to playthrough and 100% it, you need to do this boring grind for days or weeks!

I can't afford most of the upgrades despite playing for hours already. Almost all the money I am able to make goes straight back into buying parts, because things break and batteries are drained way too fast.

It is also extremely annoying how often I am not even able to buy the parts I need, because none are available. This forces me to buy every spare part I come by and buy them even if they are very expensive in the current system.

Ya more like if take one of more boring gameplay loops of Elite Dangerous.

I guess i'm not the only one who's like thats it? The premise was really good, but like its just jumping a few times, parking a load, replacing batteries endlessly, and patching hull breaches, the trucking aspect is missing

You do get some different upgrades like a hidden compartment from the side jobs. It's definitely a grind though. How much time did you actually put into it?

You have discovered a game that may not be for you. It happens to us all eventually.

There are some 8 billion people, some 5 million video games, so not only are you guaranteed to experience encountering games that aren't for you, that will likely be the overwhelming majority of video games you encounter. BUT, likewise, there is definitely a game for you out there.

We here at the Star Trucker forums wish you luck on this journey, and thank you for sharing it with us.

No, I can't leave a review.
Also nice gatekeeping - reverting this, you don't have to respond.

So it's gatekeeping because you can't leave a review for a game that you don't own?

Does your mother know that you are this entitled?

Bro this forum was literally created to discuss this game. That's the sole purpose for it's existence.

Why are there so many edglords in this forum desperate to get pissy when someone says something they don't like?

am thinking :steamhappy: surely they have room to add more content or a dlc down the road, game is still too new and a few bugs here and there keeps us in contact with the devs.

This is a bit like a different truck sim except having to stop every 200 feet to refuel, repair, or remove a tree from the road. I went like 5 miles and it cost me $4000.

I’m going to start a save on easy or custom with a bunch of stuff turned off and just see if there is anything else in this game besides micromanaging space autozone.
Atova Sep 5, 2024 @ 9:53am
Auto Essentials are the best place for parts that your truck needs. Plus, they created a range of difficulty options for people who don't like the space mechanic part called driver. You can even create a custom game mode and that one you barely have to change anything for ages. When you unlock enough certs the long haul drives can be awesome and net you a decent amount of cash. Fair enough if it isn't for you, but thought I would mention the difficulty options again because you don't have to do the part swapping often if you don't want to =).
