No Battery Charger ????
Why, just why would you not put one of these in, as far as i can see so far you will spend the entire time hauling stuff to keep buying batteries and stuff to just keep the rig running, battery runs out of charge make sure you have spares to replace said battery and charge the ones out of charge but nooooooo, battery is at 100% condition but no charge, 50 quid to sell it and like 500 for a new one, makes 0 sense to do the game this way, just turns the game from a space hauling epic game into a survival genre nightmare.

where will you the power to charge the batteries? all the truck systems are powered by batteries so there is no power source to charge them and if we did have one then why not just run everything from that.
They should add a turbine generator upgrade or something for your thrusters. Lower your fuel economy a bit to have lets say two charging stations in the cab that drain the hp of the cells as they charge

Taking away depleting batteries (though needs to be tweaked for sure) would take away a core aspect of the game like it or not. BUT a Tesla can charge in your garage so a space truck could easily charge everything in a station. :)

charging while docked is something I suggested in another thread so yeah that could work.

Or this, being able to dock and charge up would work perfect, better than having a charger because it will still keep all of the core aspects the same.

yeah I think you're right. you'll have to choose between sitting in dock not making money while waiting for your batteries to recharge or get out there making deliveries and hope you make enough to cover the cost of new batteries.
batteries should be charging on their own when the engine is on, thats how any real vehicle or aircraft works, This was a really stupid mechanic in the games design, they need to change this. If they don't hopefully mod support comes along to where a mod can be made to make this stupid mechanic more realistic.

The only problem i have with it is i was expecting a space trucking game, i love euro truck sim and i love space games but this is not at all what people got, what they got is a game that went HEAVY as f on the survival thing constantly checking up on battery levels and stuff, if there is one genre i cannot stand it's survival when it goes overboard on mechanics, this does all of that and ruins it being a space truck sim.

Agree, its why I chose to wait and see after the demo. I had a feeling that this very unpopular management of batteries would not change and I was right. I do not like the feature at all and the maps are way too small. It would of been great to see the maps as big as say X4 or even Star Citizen. I gotta say that delivering cargo in Star Citizen is a hell of a lot more fun than this. I mean I can even land and carry the crates to the dock myself or use my vehicle on the rear ramp to drive off and deliver it after landing.

Best any of us can do is use the custom difficulty setting for now, really.

It could be that 1000 years in the future the solar cells will be so bad that they will no longer be produced. It wouldn't make any sense, but the programmers would agree with me because then they wouldn't have to do anything

Solar panels upgrade, stick them on the truck. Inside connect them to a charging station for batteries. They can even make an upgrade tree for that system, upgrade to more efficient solar panels and add more battery slots in the charger. That would be a step in the right direction.
That upgrade makes sense considering we're in space, easy access to solar power guaranteed.

Considering in the game some parts you have to shut the visors to the windows because the heat is too immense from said suns yeah this makes sense lol.

Instead of an Battery Charger what if you went to stores and got a discount for trading in batterys, Kinda like propane tanks at the store. Its expensive to buy one, but to exchange one is cheaper.

Even better: Being able to recharge our batteries in a station (like for fuel)...
