Oxygen and Air Filters
Ok please enlighten me, how the ♥♥♥♥ this works. I had the assumption the air filters just help to reduce the power consumption of the energy cell for the oxygen system. But I just died with a 100% hull, a half full oxygen energy cell and a slightly broken air filter. If the air filter is the reasen the game is literally deadlocking me now. I have 3,500$. I can't afford a signle new air filter. I saw in the whole game like 2 air filter at one shop. I bought them. Never found them again. So I do not even have the feeling I did anything wrong. I just ran out of options.

Right now I die before getting the money for the air filter to replace it. I then respawn at a shop with 2 air filters way to expensive and when I try to gather the money for those... well I die again. Because I have like 3-4 minutes top. That's it. Game over. On normal difficulty.

Guys: Seriously. I love the idea of your game. Wanted to give a positive review. But this: I have the feeling I do not even have a chance. Fix this...

Any survival game starts with you having few or no tools to survive, and will always get easier as you progress building up your skills and equipment.

However you also have very detailed difficulty settings where you can customise everything to your taste- how expensive stuff is, how fast your air or food goes down, anything.

Yeah the profit margin in this game is tight, and that's not even taking into account the hazardous sectors. I'm sure it's that way by design. That's how they want it, but it makes the game maybe too difficult.
I've figured out how to be profitable, but my current complaint is debris. It's just becoming too much of a hassle. IDK if I can handle this. Giving this game a break for awhile.

Air filters are as important as battery, it's your output module. The more filter you have on at once, the less it drains them (4 filters will make all four last longer total than putting one in a letting it die to replace).

Battery and uvc are the life support, so O2 doesn't run without it, but it has a slow drain. A basic 250 battery charge lasts about 1-2 hours. With proper route planning, that's 5-7 runs without a battery change.

People have pointed it out too, but as you progress you unlock efficiency bonuses for your rig, meaning stuff drains slower and breaks down less often.

Lastly, you don't need a fully functionning air filter to make it work. You can see on your dash your O2 consumption/production ratios, so if you go under your consumption ratio (usually sub 23u/s) You'll start losing oxigen. If that happens, put on your space suit to negate that and let O2 build back up.

It's an emergency mesure, but you can buy yourself 30 minutes that you'll need to get a new filter in.

Lucky you, mine runs for over 3000 creds usually.

Just gonna toss this in here; game to have fun.. if the difficulty on the game is too hard (and you dont want to restart a new save to modify the difficulty).. there is a solution.

Wemod.

Cost is dependent on difficulty settings. They cost more on easy settings as the game expects that you'll sell more than you buy (via salvaging and trading).

On hard they cost less so you can't make as much profit.
