Joystick works (almost) flawlessly - Workaround

The game doesn't detect joysticks, but PS4, Xbox and Steam (!) gamepads are fully supported.

I played it on steam deck, without problems.
The game detected that controller, that's actually 6 axes and 12 buttons.

I have a HOSAS setup (two VKB NXT GLADIATOR EVO). It's an overkill for this game, I know.

So on PC we need the old friends: vjoy, joystick gremlin and Steam Big Picture mode ??

I created a new vjoy device ( default, without rumble). After that, with gremlin put in every needed function, axes and buttons. This is optional, I wanted the acceleration and brake on the left stick.

Then I opened Steam-> Big Picture mode -> Menu -> Settings -> Controller
On this page, on the top are all usb gamepads and joysticks.
Select one, then map the controls. I did this like 5 times, because i forgot what is where, :)
It's simple, you figure it out. This is similar how the Deck handles controller mapping.

After that, the game detects a controller.

I have one slight issue. When pushing the accelerator, it pitches down a bit.
I will figure this out later.

Played like an hour with this setup.
