Hardlocked (Shock Pods)

I was collecting stuff in space while looking for shock pods in Junk Field. I found them, but the moment I brought them on board my oxygen was empty. I respawned in the Astra Prime Sector (is that the correct name?) and saw that I dropped the cardboard box with the pods on the ground before I blacked out. Nice! I install the shock pods, but the mission is still there.
So, I return to Junk Field and the mission is reset. The other stuff is missing, because I collected it, but the locations are highlighted, the only exception is the location of the shock pods. And I can't find the shock pods, because I have them already.
I tried dropping them outside to "find them", but they became undroppable in space.

I saved a long time ago ,so I have to start from an earlier point to be able to progress with this mission. Hours of progress wasted.
